We Pledge:

On the centrality of human rights: We commit to advocating for the rights, protection, and safety of all migrants at the border and all stages of their journeys.

On the militarization of the US-Mexico border: We commit to actively rejecting all militarized migration responses against migrant men, women, and children in need of protection.

On the right to asylum: We will continue our efforts to protect the internationally recognized right to asylum and reject any efforts to return migrants and refugees into dangerous situations.

On missing migrants:  We commit to walking in solidarity with the families of missing migrants and firmly support their efforts to prevent and mitigate the crisis of migrant deaths.

On humanitarian assistance: We commit to advocating for timely and life-saving humanitarian assistance for all migrants in crisis. 

On climate change: We commit to addressing the worsening climate crisis and advocate for regular migration channels for those fleeing the adverse impacts of climate and environmental devastations.

On racial injustice: We commit to addressing racial injustices embedded in immigration enforcement and actively advocating for the respect of human and constitutional rights of Black and Brown communities residing and transiting through the US-Mexico border.

On the rights of Indigenous Peoples: We affirm indigenous peoples’ sovereignty. We stand in solidarity with Indigenous peoples' efforts to protect sacred sites and territories from border militarization and with Indigenous peoples seeking protection from economic, social, and political violence in their home countries. 

On the rights of LGBTQ+: We commit to defending the rights of LGBTQI+ migrants and refugees and will work in solidarity to address discrimination and dismantle the barriers that limit access to due process and other critical services such as legal representation, healthcare, mental health, housing, and other services.
